Oh Baskerville, how i love you

I would love to have these in my house.  These are cute Bamboo (go environment!) laser-etched coasters using Baskerville Semibold characters. There is just something about Baskerville that gets me excited. And the way the letters are all jumbled together... its just gorgeous. As you can tell, i'm a type nerd.

Apartment Therapy

Stumbled upon Apartment Therapy just now.  I'm in love with all things storage and finding unique ways of storing all my junk so when I saw the bit about storage, I got excited.

Storage above the shower?  Who would have thought?!  I know there would be some issues with water damage but I never would have thought to even think of putting a shelf up there.  Something as simple as towels and things would be cool on that shelf. Wasted space, no longer wasted.

Using Ikea kitchen cabinets for a floating entertainment center?  Awesome! Noticing the hardwood floors, I can only imagine how much easier it is to sweep under those.  Plus its a neat illusion.

I just had a dream last night about making a platform for my whole bed.  I'll write about that later...

The log/branch in the back is an amazing piece of natural art.  I don't know how i'd feel about sleeping under it but its a great look.

Why can't my work station look this cute?! Oh ya, I don't sew.  No colored yarns and ribbons for me.  But I am going to have fun with the colored cups and peg board idea. Mmmm the possibilities.

copy writer?

I would just like to clarify that this is my blog.  All mine.  Which means that all my quarks and random spellings come along with it.  I am by no means a good writer or copy editor. My grammar is off, my spelling is only fixed by spellcheck and my sentence structure is just plain weird.  But its me....

A little inspiration can go a long way

Ms. Danielle over at Defuse has inspired me to get this thing back up and running.  I have my own professional blog for my design company but that is more for current projects and design happenings.  This is for my random daily thoughts.  Much like twitter but with more words and pictures. We'll see how long I can keep this going.

Another inspiration to start this again (its been exactly a year since I started predilection!) was the movie "Julie & Julia" with Meryl Streep and Amy Adams.  It was a cute movie.  I wish I had the dedication and way with words as those two had in the movie.

Word of advice: Eat before if you go see it. The food looks delicious!

In other news, i'm saving my money for some riding gear. I currently am borrowing my brothers 400 quad and we have become the best of friends. I need a few items but the pants are what I can visually match everything too so its a hard decision.  After weeks of thinking and looking and debating, I am going to go with a purple/gray plaid.  I'm excited to start matching and getting all my gear together. Some serious riding is about to start!

So here I sit, crossing my fingers, hoping that this blog wont die like my dozen journals in my closet.... my stack of planners... my dusty livejournal account and my countless dead ended blogs.  I can do this.  With the help of fellow bloggers and life events, I can do this.
